Vanessa Olmo is the Owner and Operator of Business Endeavors, a meeting planning company that works with non-profit scientific groups focusing on international meetings, workshops and symposia.

Business Endeavors counts Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research (SFBR), Department of Genetics as its primary client.

As a consultant to SFBR, responsibilities included the planning and execution of the bi-annual meetings for the Genetic Analysis Workshops (GAW), a federally funded grant from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences and the National Institutes of Health.

Other meetings planned in conjunction with SFBR include the International Genetic Epidemiology Society Annual Meeting (Fall 2000), the Non-Human Primates Model for AIDS Research (Fall 2004), and the American Society of Primatologists Annual Meeting (Fall 2005).
